În ultimele zile au fost descoperite vulnerabilități în versiunile de uTorrent.
Versiunile mai vechi de utorrent 2.2.1 și 2.0.4 sunt afectate în mod diferit față de versiunile 3.x. Dacă aveți uTorrent 2.2.1 sau 2.0.4 tot ce trebuie să faceți este să dezactivați Web UI din setări (dacă cumva este activat) și să modificați setarea avansată "net.discoverable" în false. Detalii mai multe se găsesc în topicul cu setările clienților aici (a 2 a postare).
Pentru cei care au versiunea de uTorrent 3.x vă recomandăm să faceți update la ultima versiune, 3.5.3 (repară vulnerabilitățile găsite; versiunea este încă beta) sau să faceți downgrade la una din versiunile vechi (2.2.1 sau 2.0.4).
În momentul în care versiunea 3.5.3 nu mai este beta (sau și mai repede dacă considerăm că este nevoie) vom scoate din whitelist toate versiunile vechi de uTorrent 3.x. Versiunile vechi de uTorrent 2.2.1 și 2.0.4 vor rămâne în whitelist dar vă rugăm insistent să vă protejați și să faceți acele setări.
Acesta este un anunț inițial pentru a informa comunitatea dar pot apărea modificări. Din când în când reveniți pe pagina acasă și vedeți dacă s-a schimbat ceva.

You may have heard that in the last few days vulnerabilities were found in old and new versions of uTorrent.
Older uTorrent versions 2.0.4 and 2.2.1 are not affected in the same way as uTorrent versions 3.x. If you have uTorrent 2.2.1 or 2.0.4 all you have to do is disable the Web UI (if it is enabled) and change the advanced setting "net.discoverable" to false.
For those who use uTorrent version 3.x please update to the latest version of uTorrent, 3.5.3 (it fixes the vulnerabilities; this is a beta version) or downgrade to an older and allowed version of uTorrent (2.2.1 or 2.0.4).
When uTorrent version 3.5.3 is no longer a beta version (or even faster if we feel the need to) we will remove all older uTorrent 3.x versions from the whitelist. Older 2.2.1 and 2.0.4 uTorrent versions will remain on the whitelist but please make sure you protect yourself and have the correct settings done.
