Try this

1. Shut down your laptop

2. Connect charger

3. Press the power button for 15 secs. {A loud slightly longer than usual beep will occur within a few seconds (at least, that happened for me). Follow instructions though, keep pressing for the 15 seconds, just because Ferns1 said so)

4. Then start your laptop normally.
