In New Orleans| the notorious bank thief and family man Will Montgomery steals $10m with his partners Vincent| Riley Jeffers and Hoyt. However| he has an argument
with Vincent in the runaway and Hoyt leaves Will behind. He tries to flee but the FBI agent Tim Harlend organizes a manhunt and Will is captured| but he burns the
stolen money to get rid of the evidence against him. Eight years later| Will leaves the prison and he goes to the house of his teenage daughter Alison Loeb| who has
issues against him. Alison leaves Will alone in a coffee shop and takes a cab to go to a session with her shrink. However| a couple of minutes later| Will receives a
phone call from Vincent| who is presumed dead| telling that he has abducted Alison and will kill her unless he receives the $10m of the last robbery. Now Will has
twelve hours to find a way to rescue his daughter from the hands of the psychopath Vincent

ROMANIAN PLOT
Filmul urmareste aventurile lui Will Montgomery (interpretat de Nicolas Cage), un maestru al hotiilor, condamnat la opt ani de închisoare, dupa ce fusese tras pe sfoara într-un jaf care nu decursese conform planului. Odata eliberat, el este gata sa lase în urma trecutul criminal si sa-si refaca relatia cu fiica sa, Alison Loeb (interpretata de Sami Gayle).
Fostii complici ai lui Montgomery precum si agentul FBI Tim Harlend (interpretat de Danny Huston), sunt convinsi ca prada - actiuni în valoare de 10 milioane de dolari - a fost ascunsa de Montgomery, înainte de a fi condamnat. Ca sa puna mâna pe actiunile furate, vechiul sau partener de jafuri, Vincent (interpretat de Josh Lucas), o rapeste pe Alison, rascumpararea fiind cele zece milioane. În ziua de Mardi Gras, el o ascunde pe fetita în portbagajul izolat fonic al unui taxi, un loc unde fata este aproape imposibil de gasit.
Montgomery are la dispozitie o singura zi pentru a plati rascumpararea de 10 milioane, desi banii nu sunt în posesia sa, în ciuda a ceea ce cred Vincent si agentul FBI. În consecinta, Montgomery are o singura optiune: sa se încreada în instinctele sale si sa se alieze din nou cu un alt fost complice: frumoasa, inteligenta si atragatoarea Riley Jeffers (interpretata de Malin Akerman). Împreuna, cei doi trebuie sa planuiasca un nou jaf, pentru ca Montgomery sa-si recupereze fiica... Pâna nu e prea târziu!
Un thriller ametitor care îi aduce laolalta pe actorul Nicholas Cage si pe regizorul Simon West, cel ce a semnat si regia filmelor Con Air si Eroi de Sacrificiu 2. Din distributia filmului mai fac parte Danny Huston si M.C. Gainey.
