Cu doar cateva ore inainte de premiera, in culise tensiunea devine insuportabila. Incercand sa gestioneze ferm si obiectiv toate situatiile de criza care apar, directoarea teatrului (Carmen Stanescu) intra intr-un epuizant du-te-vino intre scena si biroul directorial. Conflictul dintre Titi Precup (Toma Caragiu), actor de prima mana al teatrului si sufleur-ul Vasilica (Emil Botta), isteria continua a regizorului Fanache Verzea (Dem Radulescu), insistenta exasperanta a celor inscrisi in audienta, asteptarea resemnata a sotului (Radu Beligan) care vrea "muraturi, poale-n brau si asternuturi scrobite" sunt momente cheie in evolutia acestei povesti - o poveste de viata in ale carei situatii ne vom regasi, cu siguranta, fiecare...
