Settembre 1942: Mentre le truppe di rommel attraversano l'Egitto, un'unità di forze speciali britannica, composta da ebrei tedeschi che servono agli inglesi, nonostante il risentimento reciproco tra i due, rapisce un ufficiale canadese esperto topografo tenuto prigioniero dai francesi di Vich in Algeria.
