Originaire du sud de Londres, Florence Welch écrit des chansons mêlant pop, soul et arrangements baroques dans un son qui a suscité beaucoup d'intérêt dès ses débuts. En juin 2008, Florence + The Machine sort son premier single "Kiss with a Fist" sur le label Moshi Moshi. Le premier album acclamé par la critique, Lungs, est sorti en juillet 2009 et est rapidement devenu l'un des disques les plus po ires du Royaume-Uni. "Ceremonials" élargit avec succès le son déjà énorme du groupe, suivi en 2011 et son troisième LP, "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" produit par Markus Dravs en mai 2015. C'était le troisième numéro un consécutif du groupe britannique, et leur premier à figurer en tête des charts américains. Après "High As Hope" en 2018, "Dance Fever" en 2022, Florence Welch est aujourd'hui de retour au meilleur de sa forme avec "Everybody Scream".
